Craig Harbaugh is a veteran criminal defense attorney with over 25 years of courtroom experience and a reputation for winning when it matters most. His firm, Harbaugh Law, focuses on high-stakes federal and state cases, including serious felonies, complex white collar offenses, and courts-martial—cases where outcomes change lives.
A relentless advocate, Craig delivers disciplined, results-driven defense strategies, each meticulously tailored to the unique demands of every case. His track record includes pretrial dismissals, full and partial acquittals, and appellate reversals. Craig is equally skilled in dismantling the prosecution during trial, crafting persuasive and strategic motions, and presenting compelling arguments before appellate courts.
For every matter, Craig brings a commitment to excellence and an unwavering focus on achieving the best possible outcome for his clients.
Before founding Harbaugh Law, Craig spent nearly 20 years as a Deputy Federal Public Defender, where he defended clients in many high-profile federal prosecutions—including cases involving fraud, securities violations, narcotics, and homicide. His advocacy was sharpened through litigating complex pretrial motions, trying numerous jury trials, and arguing multiple appeals.
Craig earned his law degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law before beginning his career in the U.S. Army JAG Corps, serving as a senior defense counsel and appellate litigator. He secured acquittals and reversals in serious courts-martial worldwide, building deep expertise in military justice and trial advocacy.
He later joined Keller/Anderle/Scolnick LLP, where he handled complex civil litigation and developed strong skills in depositions, discovery, and motion practice. He was part of the trial team that secured a $300 million federal false advertising verdict—one of the largest in U.S. history.
For those who need a defense as relentless as the prosecution—Craig Harbaugh delivers.
